Active Knowledge Bringing Awesome Chiptune Instrumentals to Rock Band Network

Rock Band Network has seen some awesome chiptune releases. The first chiptune song to ever hit Rock Band, “Creatures ov Deception” by Rainbowdragoneyes, has seen great success since the moment it launched. Other artists have continued the chiptune invasion; RockGamer Studios released Ananmanaguchi’s “Airbrushed” as the first chiptune song to feature keyboard authoring, Fairwood Studios brought us the VVVVVV madness of Magnus “Souleye” Pålsson, and other chiptune artists have announced and/or released tracks for RBN. Rainbowdragoneyes is also bringing something new to take advantage of RBN2’s new features. We at Chart Toppers are proud to continue the chiptune invasion by bringing Active Knowledge to the Rock Band Network!

Active Knowledge is the project of Chris Mahoney, who is also the founder and operator of the Boston8Bit chipmusic collective. Active Knowledge mixes vintage video game sounds with synchronized glitchy, spastic visuals. Using only an NES, Ableton Live and speakers, Active Knowledge puts on mindblowing shows that entrance the mind and energize your soul.

His latest album, INFINITE, features a variety of atmospheric yet danceable tracks with a spacey feel to them, and will be coming to the Rock Band Network in its entirety. Guitarists and keyboardists will definitely enjoy playing all of the lead parts that drive the music, while bassists and drummers will have a blast with the exciting rhythm sections.

The following tracks will be coming to the Rock Band Network:

“Reality Down”
“Supertronic Lazering”
“Achieve the Impossible”
“The Fractal Reason”
“Dance Battle Alpha”
“Approaching the Science Limit”
“Why Are We Come Alive?”
“Your New Time Spiral”
